Trey Prophater, Partner
“I subscribe to the philosophy that ‘a journey is of little merit unless it tests you.’ Racing in and participating in endurance events allow me this opportunity.”
At Persium, Trey’s efforts are focused on advising clients and new business development. He specializes in working with closely held business owners to plan for their business exit, institutional and individual investors to design investment strategies to meet their needs in an efficient manner, and retirement plan sponsors to fulfill fiduciary responsibilities.
Trey has spent more than fifteen years working with closely held businesses and assisting the owners with their needs. Prior to joining Persium, Trey worked as a trust officer within the banking industry identifying and implementing solutions for clients including: deferred compensation plans, 401(k) plans, traditional pensions, and proprietary investment management strategies. He has provided solutions for organizations ranging from startup to several billion dollars in revenue.
Trey is a graduate of the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business. In 2002, he earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation.
Trey has lived in Atlanta most of his life. He and his wife, Mandy, have three children, Russ, Cate, and Mary Ellen. They currently reside in Brookhaven and are members of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. In his spare time, Trey enjoys time with his family, coaches youth sports, and attends University of Georgia football games. He appreciates a challenge and has participated in endurance sports ranging from Ironman triathlons and long distance mountain bike races to multi-day running and cycling events.
