Erik Nilsson, Analyst
“I think it’s very important to have a feedback loop, where you’re constantly thinking about what you’ve done and how you could be doing it better.”
Erik joined the Persium team in 2018 as an Analyst with a focus on portfolio management and asset allocation. He is responsible for handling fund analysis and commentaries, summarizing key performance indicators to clients, and preparing retirement plan and investment advisory reports. He is also a member of the Investment Committee that performs in-depth analysis of all retirement plan and asset management securities.
Before moving to Persium, Erik spent time at one of the top five credit unions in Georgia, where he oversaw a variety of credit card products and managed the products’ associated credit risk.
Erik graduated from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business with a BBA in Finance. During his tenure at UGA, he was a goaltender with the Division III Ice Hockey team. Erik is currently pursuing the title of Chartered Financial Analyst through the CFA Institute.
A Georgia resident for his entire life, Erik still finds time to celebrate his parents’ northern roots by participating in hockey and lacrosse leagues. During the weekends you can find him either on a rink, investigating local landmarks, or in Athens for any number of UGA athletic events.
